Prairie Rose
The Musser Family’s take on a sweet, baby swiss. The flavor has buttery and nutty tones with complex qualities. This cheese is aged 5 months.
Appetizer: Toast bread (preferably our Gralic Mashed Potato Boule, but French Bread or Baguttes work too) and then shred Priarie Rose on top and place under the brioler on high until melted and starting to turn golden brown.
Fancy Feast Chicken
6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (frozen)
Prairie Rose Cheese (enough to cover chicken)
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 soup can of white wine
1 box seasoned croutons (garlic and herb is the best)
1 stick melted butter (if you substitute the butter with margarine it does not turn out the same)
Optional: 1 can mushrooms drained or fresh mushrooms
Place frozen chicken breasts in a 9x13 baking dish. Top each breast with one layer of Prairie Rose cheese.
(Optional: top with mushrooms) Blend wine and soup together. Pour over chicken, cheese and mushrooms. Sprinkles with croutons, drizzle with butter. Cover with foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 1
hour.
