Chocolate Balsamic

This balsamic is rich, thick and resounds with the complexity of chocolate responsible for the depth of its flavor. Premium chocolate adds a subtle, rich flavor to this aged balsamic of Modena. This dark chocolate balsamic is delicious drizzled on berries or as a compliment to a cheese course.

 

Wonderful dessert drizzled over ice cream, fresh fruits, pound cake or cheese. 

 

Also use in mole sauce or drizzle over beef tenderloin.

Chocolate Mini Muffins

1 ¼ cup flour

¾ cup whole wheat flour
¼ cup sugar
¼ cup brown sugar
3 T. unsweetened cocoa powder
1 ½ t. baking soda
¼ t. salt
¾ cup nonfat milk
¾ cup unsweetened apple sauce
1 T. Vanilla olive oil
1 T. molasses
1 T. Chocolate Balsamic

1/3 cup miniature chocolate chips

 

Preheat oven to 350. Coat 18 muffin cups with olive oil, set aside. In a bowl, combine flours, sugars, cocoa powder, soda and salt. In another bowl combine milk, applesauce, oil, molasses, vinegar and vanilla. Add to flour mixture. Stir just until moistened (will be lumpy). Stir in half the chocolate pieces. Spoon batter into muffin cups, filling a little more than half full. Sprinkle with remaining chocolate pieces. Bake 15 minutes or until done. Cool on rack.

Strawberry Salad with Chocolate Balsamic

10 oz. Spinach or mixed green salad greens

½ cucumber, peeled and sliced
2 cups strawberries, halved
¼ cup Stilton cheese, crumbled

¼ cup Chocolate Balsamic

 

Tear spinach in salad bowl. Add cucumber, strawberries and Stilton. Drizzle with Chocolate Balsamic and enjoy!
